The Western world is teetering on the edge of the abyss. That’s why the secret society Grande Loge is sending the chosen hip-hop son, Tjon Rockon, to the spiritually estranged tatta’s, to save them with his method of self-cancelling and performative rituals. To make their blood boil once more…
Tjon Rockon is a Surinamese-Rotterdam-based theater maker and former graffiti artist. Filmmaker Bouba Dola portrays this enigmatic guru in Grandeloge Filantropia as an unstoppable force, a spirit that can no longer be contained. Bouba Dola was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo. At a young age, he was scouted by PSV, but after an injury, he shifted his talents to the arts. As a filmmaker, he has created videos for artists such as Giovanca, Steffen Morrison, Berget Lewis, Typhoon, and Gery Mendes.
